NASKART - Racing Series

Naskart Racing Series is your series for fast-paced kart racing action. This Spec series was developed to be cost-effective and low budget, without losing the thrill of racing! Developed for the entry-level kart racers, Naskart quickly grew into a multiple kart field that includes racers of all experience levels. Using a reliable Honda 4-stroke engine, these karts are capable of speeds upwards of 85 mph! All karts are required to be a Birel Italian racing chassis, a specific weight, and conform to a strict set of modifications so the racing is fast, fair, and highly competitive. The 2008 season is shaping up to be one of Naskart's fastest seasons yet. With new venues and new tracks, make sure you're a part of the action!

With entry costs of only $3000-$3500, kart racing has never been more affordable! With a multiple track, 21-week race schedule, the racing almost never stops year round! Why are we are called Naskart? Because the series runs on a 3/8 mile NASCAR-sanctioned oval track at Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle, Texas. There's no better way to experience real circle track racing, with all the thrills of full-bodied cars than behind the wheel of a Naskart! Safety is a primary concern in all racing, so participants are required to be a minimum age of 16 years old and wear special safety gear.

Naskart also stops at other venues, such as Iron Rock Raceway in Austin, Texas. Iron Rock is Austin's premier kart facility and also home to a majority of the Naskart racers. The racetrack at Iron Rock can be changed by moving barriers to accommodate different track setups. So, tracks can be different at any point during the year! It's like seeing a whole different racetrack without going far from home!

About the Chassis: The Naskart N-35 chassis can be purchased from Iron Rock Raceway or any other Birel dealer in the nation. The N-35 chassis is built to withstand all the rigors of hard racing. This kart can take whatever you throw at it and keep on going! See rules for details of modifications.

About the Motor: The Naskart motor is a Honda GX 270 series motor. The motor starts as a reliable 9 horsepower base engine. After making specific adjustments and modifications they are capable of 17 horsepower. With a 4-stroke design, tuning for more power is easy! No mixtures to mess with like the 2-stroke karts. The motor will last an entire season on average, only needing simple valve train adjustments and maintenance. These motors are a spec item on the N-35 chassis. About the Driver: Male or Female; it's the most valuable asset to any race kart or car, the driver. Drivers are required to be age 16 or greater (we have plenty that are much, much greater). We strongly encourage all drivers to wear a "kart specific" driving suit that can be purchased online, new or used. All helmets must be full faced with a visor, and should be Snell 2000 or better. Closed toed shoes, driving shoes, or boots are a must; gloves and karting neck braces are also highly recommended.
